Role Summary:

The Retirement Village lifecycle modelling was for the luxury Cooper’s Hill Retirement Village, formerly part of Brunel University. Located within the 66 acres of the Magna Carta Park in the village of Englefield Green, near Runnymede in Surrey. The luxury village opened in autumn 2019 and comprises of 128 retirement properties, the Audley Club health and fitness suite, tennis courts, putting green, restaurant and library.

Opex was commissioned to undertake a lifecycle modelling exercise on the retirement village assets, which included M&E and Fabric surveys, and construction work takeoffs.

The M&E and fabric surveys was a review of the buildings mechanical, electrical and fabric services to identify the condition of the assets and their time to next replacement.

Opex was able to model both new build and existing buildings to model a 125 life cycle, helping our clients to realise full assessment value from their assets.
