Opex have very extensive FM services knowledge and experience, across both TFM and PFI contracts. Our experience covers many major market sectors and we have an extensive private database of FM costs, developed over many years working in the industry.
Our consultants provide expertise around the day-to-day management of our customers’ facilities. Our expertise can be applied across the entire service cycle from strategic management, through operational efficiency programmes and service audits.
We have significant experience placing our own people within our clients’ organisations, filling roles from board level to operational and technical management roles. Opex has helped our clients on many occasions to develop or redevelop FM programmes, turn around failing PFI and TFM providers, establish robust maintenance management regimes and project manage mobilisation or re-mobilisation programmes.
Recent Interim Management Services
• Interim Management Services at QEH Hospital, Greenwich, where we acted for the SPV to reset/remobilise Hard FM service delivery at the Hospital estate. The role covered and initial 12-month period and a subsequent 9-month project/programme management requirement.
• Provision of Programme Management services for SPV to oversee the FM Contractors Summer Works programme at a University Campus, as well as services for the preparation and mobilisation of 1,000 accommodation units, including overseeing the activities for student experience and student intake;
• Provision of Programme Management services for FMCo to oversee their Summer Works programme at a University Campus, which included project management of a £1.4m accommodation refurbishment project, including overseeing the activities for student experience and student intake; and
• Interim Management Services at Newcastle Royal Victoria Hospital, where we acted for the SPV to oversee and programme manage hard FM service delivery at the Hospital estate over an 18-month period.
